Gold’s Gym Releasing Their Own Protein

To speak from experience, I have to tell on myself. I have used the same home gym equipment for roughly ten years. My Gold’s Gym home setup has been awesome. What is interesting is that I am almost positive that is was meant as a beginner weight set, yet it has held up very well. I’ll be honest, I am very hard on my weights. Like most of us, I can get mad when a lift doesn’t go the way that I want it to. Since I do most of my lifting at home when I am by myself, I have freedom to throw a whiny temper tantrum. After ten years of hard work and heavy weights, the Gold’s Gym home gym setup barely shows a scratch. I haven’t even deep cleaned the equipment in ten years and it is only slightly faded. The leather material on the bench hasn’t even been scratched once, miraculously!

I have even set down barbells on the bench and can do trap exercises on it. Let me put it this way, I have had weights that have needed replaced before my weight bench. There is actually a barbell resting on that equipment that is loaded with 115lbs. The barbell has been used for about six years and is severely bent and in need of replacing. If Gold’s Gym puts any of the quality of their home gym setups as they do into their upcoming supplements, the competition could be in big trouble. Yes, Gold’s Gym, the mecca for all bodybuilders and line of mega gyms is now releasing their own line of supplements. Currently, there is only a protein powder in the works but it looks really cool.

The signature black and yellow color scheme of Gold’s Gym is proudly presented on the labeling of the container. There is 24 grams of protein per serving in the Gold’s Gym supplement, which is about the average maybe a little bit more. If you thought that a new protein was all you were going to see being newly released by this company, think again. Also in the works will be kitchen appliances made by Gold’s Gym, including a mini grill. I love my George Foreman grill with a passion but if Gold’s enters the market, my loyalty will definitely be tempted. Gold’s Gym is a company that is certainly showing no signs of slowing down. People are wanting to get in better shape and this business is right there with gyms located all over the country! As much as I have wanted to, I am currently unable to find the Gold’s Gym protein as it has not been released yet.

From what I’ve seen that has been publicly released, it looks like this company is starting out with two flavors, cookies and cream and vanilla. However, stay tuned to when this supplement is being officially released, as there could be more new flavors. This protein will be 100% whey which is what a lot of companies are using in their protein powder. However, those with special dietary needs may need to look elsewhere for a protein that can help them. Many people should be looking forward to this release of what appears to be a superior protein powder by an awesome company. Ensure that you have the mouse ready when these powders are being released, as I have a feeling that they will sell very quickly.

Why A Former Ectomorph Made A Big Diet Change

For those who don’t know, an ectomorph is one of the three body types we all fall under. I wanted to pay special attention to the type that makes up the ectomorph because that is the type that I am. For those like us, we find that when we eat, the food goes somewhere but it doesn’t show on us. I remember having to, due to constantly being on the road, had to drop weightlifting out of my life for a month or two. All of the sudden, I had close friends asking if I was getting sick or what had happened to me, like I had returned to them a different person. I was starting to notice that my shirts and pants were feeling a little bit baggier but certainly not the cause for alarm that everyone else must have thought it was. I won’t go into detail with the accusations that were made about my new look, which I tried to explain, only to have my perfectly logical reason fall right on deaf ears, thanks, family!

Gaining Weight Can Be Done by Anyone

What I found was that the unkind words (all in good fun, I suppose) had got to me and I slimwas coming back to weightlifting with an entirely new attitude. What was funny was that, with the lower body fat percentage I had from not training, the muscle was showing up clearer than before. When an ectomorph starts to really bulk up, it is natural for them to start thinking about getting more defined. I’ve told everyone who asks about the subject that bodybuilding isn’t something you are going to be a pro at in a month, or even in a year, although it does happen. For a vast majority of people, you’ll have your trial and error moments, they help you grow.
That new attitude didn’t just reach me in my training sessions, it followed me to the supermarket. I now hunted down foods that were calorie dense, with a mix of proteins and good fats. I felt that the joke was on everyone that had poked fun at me, in the time it took for the muscle to fade away, it started coming back.

Gelatin For Damaged Joints

It turns out that consuming gelatin isn’t just for those who want a nice dessert, there are other benefits to this food. You don’t have to be an endurance runner to suffer from joint damage. Even our workplace can sometimes be a cause of those annoying joint aches that linger on. If you are someone that can deal with day to day aches, that’s great, but for others, the pain can become too much. We all live vastly different lives and some are putting their joints under more strain than others. Oftentimes, it is those who put their joints under a massive amount of stress at a younger age, that begin to feel the effects as they get older. My stepdad was a bit of a wild man in his day, and he loved his motorcycles. Since he is a stepparent, it should go without saying that I didn’t personally know him in his younger days, just hearing what I could through the stories that he tells me. One night, this guy went out on his motorcycle on a rainy night and ended up violently crashing his bike, and his body was to suffer damage as well. This man was rushed to the hospital, after someone saw what had happened. My stepdad would end up being confined to a hospital bed for many months, thankfully never having to go into a coma. After the long healing process, this didn’t mean that my stepdad would be safe for lingering pain for too long.


Now well into his fifties, it is hard for my stepdad to sit down for long amounts of time, as his hips bore the brunt of the wreckage in the motorcycle accident. I’ve seen the scars that were the result of such a tremendous crash and it helped me figure out that I have no want to buy a motorcycle for myself. When I recently went to visit him, I saw that his cabinets were stocked with Jello, I had never known him to have a sweet tooth. What he told me made perfect sense, he had started regularly eating gelatin because it was making his joint feel more relaxed, like he could sit and rest more often. This man, now proudly eating his Jello for lunch was once a bad news biker that didn’t take anything from anyone, I had to chuckle to myself.

It’s not just my stepdad that is getting used to this dessert as a way to make muscles feel better. You don’t have to be in your fifties to start undertaking the benefits of gelatin for your joints, you can start now. I personally love gelatin and it makes for a fun and not so unhealthy dessert option, especially when I’m trying to keep my weight down. I usually prefer the grape and cherry flavors but, if you don’t know yet, there might not be another food with more flavor choices than gelatin but if you prefer, there is also unflavored gelatin that is often used for cooking. No matter how you choose to cook with it, gelatin is turning out to be a viable choice for repairing joints and muscles that have been worn down by everyday use. Is Diet Soda Bad for Trying to Lose Weight?

When trying to cut out what has caused those nasty fat gains, you might be quick to jump to beverages that you drink. One big culprit for where most find their empty calories going to would be soda, there is no denying that. Soda companies have done all that they can to try and make soda more appealing to a more health-conscious generation and there have been hits and misses. It isn’t really surprising that people think they are doing themselves a favor, once they substitute regular soda for the diet option, can you blame them? If you think about it, it sounds like a great trade, you get the same soda taste, without the extra calories that are associated with it. What findings are showing is that diet soda that you are about to have at lunch could be holding back your weight loss progress.


As it turns out, the attitude that you feel from missing out on those soda calories could easily be put back right into an extra snack. Let me put it this way, let’s say that Karen is drinking diet soda in the morning. At first, she feels very proud of herself because she is already getting a jumpstart on her diet, way to go, Karen. Here is where trouble starts, at lunch, Karen has been drinking diet soda all day and figures that she deserves a reward. Skipping out on her normal lunch of tuna, Karen decides that she has deserved a candy bar. I mean, after all, it is just one candy bar and she has drank diet soda all day, so she should be good, right?

Wrong, that little candy bar just offset all of the work and dedication that it took Karen to drink those diet sodas all day. Yes, you can end up overindulging more with drinking diet soda than you would with the regular carbonated beverage. I might be an exception to the rule but I actually enjoy diet soda, as it always helps me to trim down quickly. My stomach looks entirely different when I have cut out regular soda for a month, as compared to when I am only drinking diet. As you can plainly see, the way that you think is just as big of a part of diet success as anything else would be.

It seems that now, it isn’t the mental aspects of drinking diet soda that could come into play when wreaking havoc on your diet, it now looks that a special sweetener is under fire. Aspartame, the signature sweetener in most diet soda that is mainly responsible for delivering that signature taste is drawing the ire of some scientists who suggest that this ingredient is not as healthy as we have thought it to be. As someone who will occasionally have the urge to cut out some fat in their meals, I find diet soda to be an awesome choice. I don’t know if I will ever fully give up my addiction to soda but having the diet option, when I absolutely must lose weight is a nice security net for me. I’ll likely never switch over to drinking only water, no matter how much I tell myself that I should. Are you still going to maintain the need to get your diet soda fix?
